Work Schedule:
10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday - Thursday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM OR 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Monday - Friday. May rotate weekends, require working irregular hours, and require overtime. May be designated as an "essential position" during emergency closures. May be required to remain on campus overnight during weather or other emergencies.

Facilities Management is hiring Custodial team members to work in our Custodial Services division. Custodial Services performs routine and specialized services, ensuring a healthy and clean environment to promote the University's mission.
Duties- Mops, sweeps, waxes, and polishes floors
- Cleans and dusts furniture, equipment, etc.
- Locks and unlocks offices, classrooms, and conference areas. Contact with others is of a routine nature
- Collects and disposes of wastepaper and refuse
- Vacuums carpeted areas where applicable
- Maintains lavatories and rest rooms in a sanitary condition
- May shovel snow from doorways and sidewalks
- Performs related duties as assigned

Skills:
- Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
- Customer service
Working Conditions:
Physical:
- Mopping, sweeping, waxing, and polishing floors.
- Cleaning and dusting of furniture and any wood work.
- Collection and disposing of wastepaper and refuse.
- Vacuuming carpeted areas.
- Maintenance of lavatories and rest rooms.
- Shoveling of snow from doorways and sidewalks.
- Lifting and carrying loads up to 100 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Excessive use of arms in a back and forth motion.
- Excessive stooping and bending.
- Climbing stairs.
Environmental:
- Exposure to odors.
- Exposure to disagreeable tasks or conditions.
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals.
- May require some weekend and/or overtime work.
- Must be willing to wear and maintain uniforms provided by the department.
- May be designated as an essential position during emergency closures.
- May be required to remain on campus overnight during weather or other emergencies.
