Live Well, the University of Oklahoma’s Employee Well‑being and Engagement Program, is seeking a motivated and creative Summer Intern to support initiatives that promote a healthy, connected, and engaged workplace culture for OU faculty and staff. This internship provides hands‑on experience in program planning, communications, data analysis, and employee engagement strategy within a collaborative HR environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and passionate about workplace wellness, employee experience, and building positive organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing employee well‑being programs and engagement events.
  • Contribute to communication efforts, including social media, email campaigns, flyers, and promotional materials.
  • Help coordinate workshops, wellness challenges, and special events.
  • Track participation metrics and assist with data collection and reporting.
  • Conduct research on best practices in employee well‑being, engagement, and workplace culture.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for team initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to enhance employee experience efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • This position is open to students from the Norman, HC, or Tulsa campus with an option for a hybrid schedule (up to 8 hours).
Job Requirements

Required

Education:

Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

  • Must attach Spring, Summer, and/or Fall 2026 OU class schedule.
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Health & Exercise Science, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with survey tools, design platforms (e.g., Canva), or project management tools.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in workplace well‑being, culture, and engagement.
  • Comfortable engaging with faculty and staff in‑person and online.
  • Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
