Job Summary:
The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with various speech and language disorders. They work with clients of all ages in educational, medical, and private practice settings to help improve communication skills and overall quality of life.
- Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address clients' communication needs
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, language development, fluency, and voice production
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to coordinate care and support for clients
- Keep detailed records of client progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Stay current on research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) required
- State licensure or certification to practice as an SLP
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of different speech and language disorders and treatment approaches
- Experience working in diverse settings, such as schools, hospitals, or rehabilitation centers
