Job Title:
Surgical Technologist - CVOR

Tasks and Responsibilities:

As a Surgical Technologist specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), you will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during complex cardiac and vascular procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation:
  Prepare and set up the CVOR before surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
• Assistance:
  Pass surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile items to the surgical team during procedures.
• Sterilization:
  Properly sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Patient Care:
  Assist in positioning patients, prepping the surgical site, and draping the patient to maintain a sterile field.
• Documentation:
  Accurately document all procedures, supplies used, and patient information.

  Collaboration:
  
  Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and the smooth flow of surgeries.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Surgical Technology preferred)

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program

CPR certification

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation

Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols

Certification Requirements:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred

State License Requirements:

Valid surgical technologist license in the state where you will be practicing

Additional License Requirements:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
