Job Description

The Office of Academic Assessment is part of the Division of Academic Affairs. We collaborate with and support faculty across all academic departments and schools to develop, implement, and document student learning assessments for all degree and certificate programs, as well as for General Education curriculum. Additionally, we oversee the deployment of unit-level Academic Program Review (APR) surveys, manage logistics for the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), and assist in preparing for the university-wide Survey Experience for Research Universities (SERU).

We analyze data, prepare reports, and share findings with various OU stakeholders. Furthermore, we conduct institutional research on various aspects of student learning assessment in partnership with academic departments and selected administrative units.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Develop visualizations (e.g., tables, dashboards), interpret research findings, and write analytical summaries.
  • Develop, review, and administer online surveys using Qualtrics.
  • Manage the Qualtrics online survey tool.
  • Assist with research projects on the assessment of student learning.
  • Conduct literature reviews, critical evaluations, and summaries on assigned topics.
  • Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and manuscripts for publications.
  • Support office events, website updates, and social media communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's degree and must be currently enrolled in the Spring Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

  • Must attach Spring 2026 class schedule.
Required Skills and Proficiencies
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools, preferably SPSS (this is a must!). Proficiency in R and SAS is also desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with advanced quantitative and qualitative research design and methods.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet required deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in building dashboards and visualizations with Power BI and/or Tableau is highly desirable.
