Job DescriptionThe Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) works to bring in the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state, nation and world. We provide support to incoming domestic and international freshman transfer, and high school concurrent students as they navigate the college application and decision process. Additionally, we partner with faculty/staff, parents, counselors, and communities in providing resources to students interested in higher education.
Our goal is to build a vibrant community with limitless potential by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational, service, involvement and community experiences.

Scope of Position/Essential Duties
:
- Assists with planning, development, and implementation of designated student programs and services.
- Assists the Campus Experience team with coordinating daily campus tours, group tours and experiences, personalized visits, K‑8th experiences, and other campus events.
- Serves as daily point of contact for campus tour guides, assists with creating and updating student schedules, and pairing tour guides with guest experiences each week.
- Assists in managing daily tour and campus visit operations and guest experiences.
- Assists in managing campus tour email inbox and SMS inbox to respond to guests in a timely manner.
- Manages recruitment material inventory, assists with shipping and preparing requests, and ordering of materials in Jones Family Welcome Center.
- Plans and coordinates training for student employees regarding tours, serving guests, and other components of campus experiences.
- Assists in planning recruitment events for prospective students to engage with the university.
- Act as a liaison between students, parents, HS counselors and the University of Oklahoma to coordinate student application/admissions/financial aid/housing/enrollment process.

Bachelor's degree
Equivalency/Substitution
:
Will accept 48 months of equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
Skills
:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases.
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
- Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate well and build quickly with students, faculty and staff.
Certifications
:
- Valid Oklahoma Driver License to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
