Part‑time. Work schedule varies Mon‑Fri 07:00‑22:30; includes nights and weekends.

Targeted salary: $22.00‑$25.00 per hour, based on experience.

Administers FAA syllabus flight and ground instruction to university students; performs check rides in accordance with FAA guidelines; instructs ground school as required; administers FAA required ground tests; schedules training, stage checks, and check rides; performs FAST flights (faculty staff transportation); assists in promoting the Department of Aviation; develops new courses and syllabi; helps with preventive maintenance of OU fleet aircraft;

performs dispatching duties for daily flight ops.

Required Education
:
High School diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and job‑related experience.

Skills
:

• Ability to work with flight students one‑on‑one and in a classroom setting.

Certifications
:

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor License
• Must have and maintain FAA Class II medical
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements
:

• Able to administer flight instruction
• Lift up to 45 lbs of weight
