We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to prepare and review complex individual and small business tax returns. - Advanced Tax Preparation:
Prepare and/or review complex federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065). - Problem Solving:
Resolve IRS and state tax notices and perform tax research as needed. - Client Engagement:
Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, explain completed returns, and build long-term relationships. - Workflow Management:
Use Drake Tax and Quick Books to ensure accurate, efficient, and digital-first filing processes.
- Experience:
3-5+ years of professional tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm. - Credentials:
Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license strongly preferred (PTIN required). - Tech Stack:
Proficiency in Drake Tax,
Quick Books Desktop
, and Quick Books Online is essential. - Knowledge:
Strong technical expertise in individual, corporate, and partnership tax law. - Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
