Job Summary
The Business Information Systems Manager provides oversight and leadership of Facilities Information Services. This role involves analyzing projects to develop project plans, providing data management and analysis in support of the business intelligence environment, gathering and analyzing business requirements, refining business processes, and assisting in strategic communication. Each task demands high attention to detail and the ability to work independently, while working collaboratively with Facilities Services Units, the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Planning, vendors and campus partners.
Responsibilities- Analyze projects to develop project plans and provide all aspects of data management and analysis in support of the business intelligence environment.
- Gather and analyze business requirements using project management methodologies.
- Analyze and refine business processes in both the current state and future state.
- Assist in developing strategic communication and providing supporting communication materials for the department.
- Work collaboratively with Facilities Services Units, the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Planning, vendors and campus partners.
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, IT Management, Programmer, IT Systems or related field (verify with transcript).
- At least five (5) years of full‑time (or part‑time equivalent) professional level work experience as an Application Administrator or in a lead operational role in business and/or technology systems such as GIS, CMMS, Electronic Access or similar IT systems, with project management experience throughout the project life cycle from initiation to closure. Three (3) of those years must include supervisory experience.
- Experience with information technology systems such as WebTMA, 25
Live, and Business Intelligence tools. - Experience utilizing and managing GIS systems.
$70,000 – $85,000 per year based on experience.
