Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time on‑site role for an Assistant Hotel General Manager located in Normal, IL. The Assistant Hotel General Manager will assist in the oversight of all operational aspects of the hotel to ensure profitability, excellent guest satisfaction, and seamless day‑to‑day operations. Responsibilities include managing staff, optimizing revenue and occupancy rates, maintaining property standards, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Leadership, team development, and delivering an outstanding guest experience are core components of this role.
- Leadership and team management skills to coach, mentor, and lead staff effectively
- Strong operational management abilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Experience in hospitality and guest relations with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in managing vendor relationships, property maintenance, and regulatory compliance
- Skills in strategic thinking and problem‑solving to drive hotel profitability and improve efficiency
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred
- Experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a management or leadership role
- Knowledge of hospitality software and reservation management systems is a plus
This full‑time, exempt position offers an estimated pay range of $45,000‑$50,000 annually based on job‑related experience, skills, and qualifications.
