SummaryInterns will receive supportive training and supervision from experienced school counselors while obtaining school‑based experiences with the following.
- Provides emotional, social, and academic counseling, eases school transitions, monitors academic success, and makes referrals to specialized services when needed.
- Acts as a liaison among teachers, parents, administrators, and students, facilitates conferences, maintains records, and coordinates with special services for student placement and support.
- Offers career guidance, assists with course selection and post‑high‑school planning, conducts group sessions, and provides resources on jobs and future opportunities.
Completion of School Counseling program coursework and any university specific requirements for an internship during the school year.
