The Department of Mathematics at Illinois State University is looking to hire 1-2 full time, non‑tenure track faculty members to support the Actuarial Science program. The selected person(s) will be expected to teach 24 credit hours of courses related to actuarial science and statistics, such as Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Models I‑V, and other statistics courses. Some of these courses may be offered for university earned credit.

$7,500‑$9,500 per month for a 9 month appointment

• Conferred master’s degree in actuarial science or closely related field by start date of appointment
• For teaching positions, state law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position

• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level
• Ph.D. in Actuarial Science or a closely related field
• Associated or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society
