Position Overview: This position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of professional learning programs to improve staff effectiveness and student outcomes. The Director ensures all professional development is aligned to the District's strategic goals and initiatives, local, state, and federal policies.

• Develop and maintain the annual professional learning calendar for certified and classified staff.
• Collaborates with district staff to plan and organize evidence-based professional development aligned with school improvement plans, the district's strategic plan and initiatives.
• Identify and track professional development opportunities related to local, state and federal compliance.
• Create and oversee the implementation of professional development academies that offer courses for credit toward lane movement.
• Lead the teacher induction and mentoring program.
• Collaborate with administrators to provide ongoing support and professional growth for instructional coaches.
• Monitor fidelity of instructional improvement initiatives through observation, feedback cycles, and data analysis.
• Partner with district committees, colleges/universities and other educational entities to provide professional learning opportunities.
• Manage the issuance of professional development hours for certified staff in compliance with state requirements.
• Complete the professional development audit.
• Collaborate with HR on new employee orientation.
• Communicates available professional learning activities to school and district staff.
• Oversee the administrator training including administrator academies.
• Analyze the effectiveness of professional learning activities to ensure they meet staff needs and improve practice.
• Evaluates administrators and other staff as assigned.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

• Minimum of a M.S. in school administration with a valid Illinois certificate - Type 75 Administrative Endorsement.
• At least five (5) yrs. experience as an administrator or supervisor in public schools, the State Board of Education, education service regions, or in certain approved non-public schools.
• Demonstrated success at leading continuous improvement efforts including the establishment of data priorities to raise student achievement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the adult-learning process; strong in strategies of in-serving training and instructional improvement.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and data management systems.
• Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner.
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated success in long-term planning.

The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $133,900 annually. Benefits include individual medical, dental and vision insurance, Board paid TRS, life insurance.
