Warehouse Clerk

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Norfolk, VA on midshift (Sunday to Thursday 1 p to 9:30 p). Land 'N' Sea Distributing is a full‑service, wholesale‑only distributor that has served the marine and RV industries for over 50 years. With thousands of different parts and accessories available from warehouses nationwide, we pride ourselves on fast, efficient delivery across the U.S. and Canada, and serve more than 60 countries worldwide through our partnership with Mercury Marine’s Latin‑American and Caribbean division.

• Operate forklift or hand truck to move, convey or hoist equipment and parts throughout the warehouse.
• Comply with all quality standards and policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning/maintaining equipment, performing safety inspections, and keeping the warehouse organized.

• Accurately pick, pack and ship various sized parts to support quick turnaround of orders.
• Fill orders by removing the correct parts from shelves, identifying part numbers and proper quantities.
• Determine method of shipment and pack accordingly.
• Count, weigh, measure or examine packaging and contents to ensure conformance to company specifications.

• Receive and unpack merchandise and supplies, verifying accuracy of deliveries.
• Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials.
• Confirm proper location of merchandise.
• Ensure production area organization and cleanliness.
• Stock shelves by placing material in appropriate locations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable attendance and a team‑player attitude.
• Prior forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
• Basic computer skills are helpful.
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus.

Employees frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance, and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. Walkways are concrete and/or metal grating. Employees may need to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently. The environment can be hot or cold and dusty. Employee exposure to high, precarious places is possible.
