Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Courier to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery, pick-up, and transport of medical devices and equipment to healthcare facilities and clinics. Driving a company owned or leased vehicle, the ideal candidate will prioritize safety, accuracy, and excellent customer service while handling medical devices.
This role involves frequent driving, loading/unloading equipment, and direct interaction with healthcare professionals and patients. A flexible schedule may be required to accommodate delivery deadlines and customer needs.
- Delivery & Pick-Up:
Load, transport, and deliver medical devices and equipment to designated locations within the assigned route. Be punctual with strong time management skills. Ensure all deliveries and pick-ups are completed accurately. - Equipment Handling:
Safely handle and secure medical devices to prevent damage during transport. Perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure the equipment is in proper working condition. - Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, and required paperwork. Adhere to company protocols and industry regulations for transporting medical equipment. - Customer Service:
Interact professionally and courteously with healthcare staff and patients. Provide basic instruction on equipment operation when necessary. - Vehicle Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle and report maintenance needs promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle. - Compliance & Safety:
Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Adhere to traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation. - Other tasks and projects assigned:
Warehouse and manufacturing tasks and projects as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in medical device delivery, logistics, or a similar field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local routes and the ability to navigate efficiently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds) as required.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate and secure handling of medical devices.
