We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Transportation Fleet Manager to oversee daily operations, drive business growth, and lead a team that keeps our fleet running smoothly and our cities moving.

As the Transportation Fleet Manager
, you will be responsible for overseeing the full scope of operations for your market—including P&L performance, safety and compliance, team leadership, and fleet oversight. You'll work closely with both employees and independent contractors, ensuring high service standards while driving business growth and operational efficiency.
- P&L Management:
Own and manage the profit and loss statement; control costs and drive revenue growth - Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal transportation regulations - Business Development:
Identify and implement strategies to grow market share and improve service efficiency - Fleet Oversight:
Manage the performance and maintenance of company vehicles and independent contractor fleets - Team Leadership:
Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions for all team members - Recruitment & Retention:
Attract and retain qualified drivers and support staff, including independent contractors - Operational Excellence:
Ensure high levels of customer service, fleet availability, and on-time performance - Reporting & Analysis:
Track KPIs, prepare reports, and present performance updates to senior leadership
- Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management
- Strong understanding of P&L, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety/compliance requirements
- Experience leading both employees and independent contractors
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in MS Office; fleet management software experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, or related field preferred
