Position Overview

LB&B Associates is currently seeking a full‑time HVAC Mechanic to support our contract located in Norfolk, VA (Courthouse). Working days/hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Hourly pay rate: $32.00 per hour;
Health & Welfare Pay: $1,211 per month (per CBA). The position also offers vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, and a pension plan per the collective bargaining agreement. Effective 4/1/2026 HVAC Mechanic (Nate Certified) hourly pay rate will be: $35.02 per hour. Candidate must be willing to obtain NATE certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

HVAC Mechanic must have a minimum of five years experience working on large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment. The mechanic must be competent to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, hot water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other various HVAC equipment and building systems. Candidates must also have general maintenance knowledge on how to operate and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • Universal EPA or CFC certification is required.
  • Technical training in HVAC is highly desired.
  • Candidate must be willing to obtain NATE certification within 6 months of employment.
