Commercial Electrician

Overview

We are looking for new candidates to join our ever-growing team! Our ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented/experienced Mechanic Electrician. The ideal candidate must be capable of running jobs with minimal supervision and ensuring that electrical work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with NEC codes.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work.
• Technical Knowledge:
  Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and job specifications.
• NEC Code Compliance:
  Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
• Job Leadership:
  Ability to manage small crews, delegate tasks, and ensure work is completed per schedule.
• Material Knowledge:
  Familiarity with MC cable, conduit bending (EMT, PVC, rigid), wire pulling, panel terminations, and lighting installations.
• Troubleshooting:
  Capable of diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, including motor controls, lighting circuits, and power distribution.
• Safety Compliance:
  Knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to enforce job site safety practices.

• Lead and execute rough-in and finish work on commercial projects.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting, HVAC wiring, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure proper grounding and strapping of conduit and wiring per code.
• Manage material inventory for assigned jobs and coordinate with project managers.
• Work closely with apprentices and helpers, providing training as needed.
• Perform quality control checks on installations before inspections.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and general contractors regarding job progress.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in elevated spaces (ladders, lifts).
• Must provide basic hand tools (meter, strippers, screwdrivers, etc.).
• Availability to work 40+ hours per week, with occasional overtime.

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Prior experience in project-based electrical work such as kitchen build-outs, brewery installations, or commercial rough-ins.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
