Are you a skilled Marine Electrician ready to take your career to the next level? We’re looking for a Electrician to join a leading shipyard team in Norfolk, VA. This is your chance to work on cutting‑edge vessels, tackle complex electrical challenges, and make a real impact in the maritime industry.
What You’ll Do- Install and route cabling aboard ships (no live terminations required).
- Pack MCTs and work with cableways.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems with precision.
- Write detailed reports, order materials, and ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain and refurbish lighting, communication, and other onboard systems.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring, troubleshooting, and cable systems.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years required for eligibility.
- Skills: Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and maintain high standards.
- Credentials: TWIC card and DBIDS eligibility (or willingness to obtain).

Shipyard‑based role with assignments at Portsmouth Marine Terminal, Little Creek, and NOB. Attendance and reliability are key—your commitment matters here.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
