General Laborer
Join our dynamic team as a General Laborer, working Monday through Friday, with 10-hour shifts from 6am to 4:30pm. We guarantee a minimum of 50 hours per week. This role involves hands‑on tasks related to the installation and repair of security fencing, gates, and concrete work.
Responsibilities- Install and repair security fencing, gates, and equipment.
- Form, place, and finish concrete.
- Tie reinforcing bar (rebar) for concrete foundations.
- Layout, install, and repair security fencing and gates.
- Utilize hand tools such as shovels, picks, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills, and prybars.
- Move materials and assist with the installation of security gates and perform basic finish carpentry duties.
- Proficiency in concrete, construction, finish work, fence building, carpentry, and concrete finishing.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in installing a variety of security fencing and gates is preferred.
- Experience in placing and finishing reinforced concrete is preferred.
- Must possess personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel‑toed boots, hard hat, safety vest or hi‑vis shirt, safety glasses, safety gloves, and working pants.

Work EnvironmentThe work takes place outdoors on an active military base, specifically the Norfolk Naval Pier. Professionalism and awareness of surroundings are essential.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
