Job Description As a Security Officer - Aero Facility Patrol in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence and strong communication skills support a secure environment for all personnel.

What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues within an aerospace and defense location.
* Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or activities to the appropriate personnel.
* Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to restricted areas.
* Support emergency preparedness initiatives and participate in drills as required by the site.
* Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed reports.
* Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to address security-related concerns and maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

* A Guard Card or license is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
