The Assistant Manager is responsible for all things that happen during the shift. This includes cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
Responsibilities- Shift: Full Time
- Salary: $17.50 per hour
- Manage Store Operations and Drive Results
- Comply with and manage any applicable local food safety requirements for certification of the team
- Inspect and correct store cleanliness and image issues
- Delegate regular or routine tasks (e.g., prepping food, cleaning/sanitation, stocking boxes)
- Prepare the store at closing so it’s ready for opening
- Manage, communicate, and improve service times during a shift
- Complete inventory process correctly when needed
- Serve as manager-in-charge for opening and closing shifts with support from GM or AGM
- Assist with making schedules
- Perform quality checks on all orders to ensure product meets standard
- Build an effective team and partner with AGM and GM to create a positive environment
- Support onboarding process for candidates and new team members
- Answer basic questions about career paths at Domino’s
- Train staff on various team member tasks
- Recognize and correct behaviors that violate policy
- Set consistent expectations and hold others accountable
- Provide best in class customer service by building relationships with customers, reviewing feedback, and addressing opportunities
- Understand menu items and describe products to customers when needed
- Coach the team on upselling orders
- Maintain team image throughout the shift and ensure service results
- Monitor team performance from a customer’s point of view
- Maintain food safety and team member safety, including training and incident procedures
- Promote delivery safety by assisting with callbacks and ensuring drivers use lock boxes
- Watch for shortages and take action
- Introduce or train on new technology with support from an AGM or GM
- Check, operate, and troubleshoot systems as directed by an AGM or GM
- Leverage operations technology to complete and track routines
- Prior experience in a management role or similar experience preferred
- Prior experience in a customer service or applicable role preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and ensure accountability from team
- Ability to problem solve and resolve customer concerns/complaints
- Proven ability to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Excellent verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Standing:
Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Height ranges and surfaces described in the original description. - Walking:
Office paperwork and desk tasks; movement throughout the store - Lifting/Carrying:
Capacity up to approximately 50 pounds; various cases and supplies handling - Pushing/Climbing/Stooping:
Includes pushing trays, occasional stairs or ladders - Reaching/Hand Tasks:
Frequent reaching and manual dexterity required - Environmental:
Temperature ranges and exposure to odors, heat, and moving parts
- Identify any other requirements, such as travel, work environment, location, working hours, and driving-related duties
- Exposure to varying weather conditions when removing trash or delivering product
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F and higher in some areas
- Safety and awareness around hot surfaces, equipment, and sharp edges
