Overview

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Food Service Worker/Cashier for the Food Services Department. Full-time, rotating shifts, working both day and evening shifts, and every other weekend. Up to $1,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

• Deliver nutritious meals and provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Prepare and assemble food according to dietary guidelines, safety standards, and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes.
• Work as a cashier and support various food service operations.
• Ensure food safety standards are upheld and assist with meeting utility needs.
• Support delivery of food to patients as a Food Service Worker with Sentara.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent required; experience in lieu of a diploma/diploma will be accepted.
• Certification/Licensure:
  Food Handlers Card required;
  Food Service Certification as required by local Health Department.
• Experience:
  
  Cashier experience preferred; food service experience preferred; customer service experience preferred.
