Overview
This is a part‑time day shift position (24 hours weekly) with the Float Pool. It is located in Virginia Beach, VA, and works the First (Days) shift.
The Licensed Practical Nurse will support one or more regions, primarily the Peninsula sites (Williamsburg, Newport News, Hampton, Gloucester) and may require travel to Western Tidewater as needed. Differential pay is provided for the travel and flexibility required for this role.
LPN manages responsibilities of workload with accuracy, provides excellence in customer service, performs testing, medication administration, and implements nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care. The LPN serves as patient advocate in the prevention of illness or disease, and may work in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or private homes.
Education- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Trade School Graduate—Licensed Practical Nurse required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hire required
- Valid LPN license in state(s) of practice required
- Triaging, verifying medical information, caring for the patient's overall health, and working closely with doctors and other team members preferred
- Experience in a hospital, home health, hospice, or our medical group preferred
