Nurse Practitioner Opportunity*

** DaVita is pioneering a new approach to primary care for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESKD) directly within our dialysis centers. We're seeking a highly motivated and innovative Nurse Practitioner to be our
** founding NP**, helping us build and shape this groundbreaking program. This Nurse Practitioner will be the first hire. Starting a program requires flexibility and patience, but it affords the opportunity to play a pivotal role in
** defining the initiative’s clinical direction**. You will have
** direct access to top DaVita leaders
** to provide feedback on innovation and care redesign. It also means that, pending performance, there will be
** future leadership opportunities
** as we scale the program. Compensation:
Location:
You will work from a portfolio of 3-8 DaVita dialysis centers within the Chesapeake/Norfolk, VA market.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of independent primary care practice
* License to practice autonomously
* DEA license and comfort in prescribing for chronic diseases typically associated with ESRD, such as congested heart failure.
* Experience with dialysis or nephrology (preferred, but not required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of
** 5 years of clinical experience
** in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, or Gerontology.
Proven experience in
** prescribing and managing medications**: ability to initiate, titrate, and monitor therapies such as insulin, antihypertensive, statins, and other evidence-based treatments aligned with current clinical guidelines.
