Amergis is seeking a compassionate and committed Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide 1:1 support for an elementary student in Norfolk, VA. This is a 20–22 week school-based assignment offering consistent hours, meaningful work, and the opportunity to positively impact a child’s daily success.

No bus duty required!

As the 1:1 School LPN/LVN, you’ll serve as an essential healthcare support for your assigned student throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and documenting the student’s physical condition
• Addressing health concerns promptly and appropriately
• Promoting general wellness and providing basic health education
• Supporting disease prevention and safe practices
• Delivering care within the School LPN/LVN scope of practice
• Ensuring compliance with state education codes
• Communicating with school staff and referring to outside healthcare resources when needed

• Active LPN/LVN license in Virginia
• Adherence to professional standards of nursing practice
• One year of school nursing experience (preferred)
• One year of pediatric experience (preferred)
• Current CPR certification
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (per state/contract)
• Meets all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be 18 years or older
