The role requires delivering competent nursing care following the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and coordination of care, coupled with teaching, health promotion, and evaluation.

Norfolk, VA

First (Days)

• Deliver nursing care at a competent level, applying the nursing process.
• Implement and coordinate patient care plans, ensuring adherence to standards of practice and professional performance.
• Maintain required certifications and licensure, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and specialty courses within specified time frames.
• Provide culturally congruent care, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, and educational support.

• Education:
  
  2‑year RN associate degree required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Licensure: RN license required; all Direct Care RNs must have BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Certifications:
  
  Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year, Emergency Care ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year, Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months, Women’s Care and Inpatient Pediatrics as applicable.
• Experience:
  
  1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Other:
  Ability to work in a tobacco‑free environment; proficiency in English.
