CRNA Job Details
- Position: Locum Tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - General Anesthesia
- Location: Norfolk, Virginia (Virginia healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 17 weeks (January 5, 2026 - May 2, 2026)
- Shifts per Week: 5
- Shift Duration: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts (based on clinical team needs)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Call: Weeknight and/or weekend call required (1:10 rotation)
- Active Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification
- Eligible for Virginia CRNA licensure
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CRNA in an acute care hospital setting
- Proficiency in general anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and regional anesthesia techniques
- Experience with adult anesthesia cases required; pediatric anesthesia experience preferred
- Ability to manage ventilation and perform central and arterial line insertions
- Willingness to participate in call rotation
- Administer general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia for surgical procedures including orthopedic, spine, vascular (excluding open heart), neurosurgical (spine), complex orthopedic, and obstetrical cases
- Deliver anesthesia care for adult patients; pediatric anesthesia cases as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Conduct preoperative assessments and provide postoperative anesthesia care
- Manage ventilation and perform central and arterial line insertions
- Participate in weeknight and weekend call rotation (1:10)
