Overview
Sentara Norfolk General is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) and Registered Nurse Unit Coordinators (RNUC) for our Medical Surgical and Medical Specialties units. This is an in‑person Hiring Day event on 11/20 at Norfolk General. RSVP to confirm your interview spot.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing care using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation.
- Adhere to standards of practice and professional performance, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Provide clinical care in designated specialty areas, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Education: RN degree required; BSN required for Unit Coordinator role.
- Certification/Licensure: Virginia RN license required;
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. - Experience: Prior RN experience preferred; 18 months RN experience required for Unit Coordinator role.
