OverviewSentara Norfolk General Hospital’s Postpartum Mother‑Baby Unit is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse who has compassion and patience for providing special care to our new moms and infants. The 30‑bed unit focuses on assessing and ensuring proper healing, providing self‑care education, and encouraging rooming with the newborn. The Mom‑Baby Nurse sees that the newborn is assessed, cleaned, fed, and swaddled and educates the new mom on proper infant care.
Qualifications- 1‑Year RN experience preferred; new grads welcome!
- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State license in good standing is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- RN – Associate, Bachelor, or Diploma degree required.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525‑bed tertiary‑care facility that hosts the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads. It also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School. The hospital specializes in heart and vascular, neuroscience, neurosurgery, urology, oncology, spine care, advanced imaging, behavioral health, maternity, and women’s health, including a state‑of‑the‑art neonatal intensive care unit.
