OverviewSentara is currently hiring a Registered Nurse for the Same Day Surgery Unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. This is a Full Rime RN position with rotating 8 hour shift located in Norfolk, VA. Generous Sign On Bonus available for qualified candidates!
Job Requirements- Registered Nurse (RN)
- RN-Associate's Degree OR RN-Bachelor's Level Degree OR RN-Diploma (Non-degree) OR RN-Doctorate Level Degree OR RN-Master's Level Degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Preferred
- BSN or MSN preferred. Meet and maintain any required specialty certifications (e.g., ACLS within 1 year, PALS within 6 months, de‑escalation training, etc.).
- Assess and admit patients to the Same Day Surgery Unit.
- Perform rounding checks and administer medications.
- Communicate with patients’ families about care plans.
- Provide comprehensive patient care and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
