Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Temporary Internal Travel RN for their Post Surgery Unit located in Norfolk, VA. The assignment is 14 weeks, full-time, nightly shift with no benefits.
Education- Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Dentistry diploma in Nursing required.
- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State RN license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- NIH Stroke Scale competence.
- Minimum two years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
This is a 24‑bed blended observation/med‑surg unit. RN‑to‑patient ratio is 1:6. Patients often have syncope/stroke, cardiac/chest pain, AMS/UTI, or COPD. The nurse will assess/admit patients, perform rounding checks, administer medications, and communicate with families. Teamwork is essential for high‑quality care.
