Position Summary
TST Fab & Machine, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join our production team. The Finisher is responsible for preparing fabricated metal components by grinding, deburring, sanding, and polishing parts to meet company and customer quality standards. This position plays a critical role in ensuring parts are properly prepared for welding, assembly, coating, or final delivery.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grind, deburr, sand, and polish metal parts and assemblies to remove rough edges, weld splatter, and surface imperfections.
  • Prepare fabricated parts for welding, painting, coating, or final assembly.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools such as angle grinders, die grinders, sanders, and polishing equipment.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and blueprint specifications when applicable.
  • Maintain proper surface finish and dimensional accuracy during finishing processes.
  • Clean and organize work areas to maintain a safe and efficient production environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements when operating equipment and handling materials.
  • Work closely with welders, machinists, and quality control personnel to ensure production timelines are met.
  • Assist with material handling and movement of finished components as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or finishing preferred.
  • Ability to operate grinders, sanders, and other finishing tools safely and effectively.
  • Basic ability to read blueprints or work instructions is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a shop/manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience finishing steel, aluminum, or stainless steel components.
  • Familiarity with surface preparation standards for welding or coating.
  • Experience working in a fabrication or defense manufacturing environment.
