About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Deck Plate Coordinator (SCC) to support modernization, conversions, and overhaul activities for government and commercial vessels. As a key member of the Program Management team, you will play a critical role in managing materials, subcontractor execution, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements throughout the program life cycle.

This position requires deep experience in ship repair—particularly with US Navy ships
—and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, highly technical maritime environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate contract requirements, specifications, and customer expectations across internal departments and subcontractors.
  • Ensure contract execution complies with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare progress reports and highlight deviations requiring immediate corrective action.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance against integrated project plans, including detailed schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure strict compliance with NAVSEA, USCG, ABS, and OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Resolve escalated issues that cannot be addressed by craft supervision.
  • Conduct shipboard checks, attend production meetings, and assist in building production schedules and manpower forecasts.
  • Monitor subcontractor awareness of key milestones, critical events, and target dates.
  • Direct experience working on US Navy ships
, including a thorough understanding of ship repair and production processes.
  • Strong Excel proficiency and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, coordination, and execution within complex, fast‑moving environments.
  • Effective leadership and people‑management capabilities with a proven ability to drive cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with Estimating, Quality Assurance, Testing, Environmental, Production Support, and other internal teams.
  • Ability to evaluate production progress, identify improvement opportunities, and communicate status updates to leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adopt new systems and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of ship repair and shipbuilding processes, including compliance with NAVSEA, USCG, ABS, and OSHA regulations.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and the ability to interpret SPI, CPI, BAC, and related performance metrics.

Experience Requirements

  • Direct Navy shipboard experience with a complete understanding of ship repair/production processes.
  • Ability to board ships, climb ladders, and conduct walkthroughs with subcontractors.
  • Hands‑on experience with production schedules and ship modernization/repair execution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain operations, project management, planning, and operations within a maritime environment.
  • Experience collaborating with Program Management, Procurement/Subcontracts, and Supply Chain teams, ensuring alignment with FAR, DFAR, NAVSEA, and maritime regulatory standards.

Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a ship repair or shipyard environment.
