Outside Machinist- Clearance Required

Outside Machinist / Machinist Mates Needed

Up to $27.31/hr and $140 Per Diem.

• Install and align ship machinery, propulsion systems, and valves
• Operate lathes, portable milling/drill machines, and cargo cranes
• Perform valve overhauls, lube oil flushing, and hydrostatic testing
• Conduct boiler tests, shafting, bearing work, and optical alignment
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings

• Shipyard setting: indoors/outdoors, all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Respirator fit test and physical exam required
• Shift work based on production needs

This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.

The pay range for this position is $21.73 - $27.31/hr.
