Job Overview

Responsibilities- Supervise daily crew operations for seasonal ice build/removal, arena floor cover installation, basketball floor assembly, and housekeeping needs.
- Coordinate and direct event operations crews for preparation and restoration of city facilities before and after events.
- Ensure event facilities and equipment remain clean, functional, and safe; perform inspections and report findings.
- Oversee maintenance and storage of all tools, staging, decking, bleachers, portable seating, tables, tents, furniture, hockey and basketball equipment, bike racks and outdoor events equipment.
- Report required maintenance repairs, schedule vendor service calls, and facilitate scheduling of maintenance for the facility, equipment, and vehicles.
- Supervise personnel, monitor training needs, implement policies, coordinate schedules, and contribute to performance evaluations.
- Work closely with the event team to achieve event goals, maintain inventory of event equipment, conduct site visits, respond to inquiries, and take action where required.
- Coordinate manpower and provide direct supervision to operations personnel and contracted staff during events.
- Resolve customer and public complaints in accordance with established policies and procedures; serve as a City Executive for events as required.
- Perform administrative duties: coordinate meetings, maintain records, develop reports, prepare estimates of potential operations costs, review invoices, and make budget recommendations.
- Knowledge of basic operational, technical, or office processes (equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency).
- Four years of experience in a related role.
- Preferred:
Associate’s degree, three years of event experience. - Preferred:
Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift.
Four years of high school education or equivalent. Four years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Education & ExperienceAssociate's degree. Three years of event experience.
License and Certification- Forklift Certification.
Department Hiring Salary Range: $48,666 - $55,845

Work Schedule40 hours per week, Mon – Fri 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
