Summary

The incumbent provides leadership, direction, supervision, guidance, consultation, assistance, and coordination for all aspects of the afloat integrated prevention program. The incumbent performs the full range of duties, responsibilities, and tasking associated with maintaining a high quality, proactive, primary prevention workforce, such as analyzing, evaluating and advising management on the effectiveness of embedded integrated primary prevention programs and personnel.

Duties SUPERVISORY DUTIES (75%)
  • Provides immediate supervisory technical oversight for up to fifteen (15) subordinates.
    • Provide direct supervision and directs work to be accomplished by staff.
    • Assigns work based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and staff capabilities.
    • Organizes, sets, and monitors workflow, provides technical and administrative supervision. Plans, assigns, and directs work through direct contact with staff and regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Establishes performance standards for subordinates. Addresses potential disciplinary and/or performance issues timely and takes appropriate, corrective action(s) as necessary. Conducts annual performance reviews of staff.
  • Participates in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of personnel.
  • Ensures staff receives proper training to fulfill requirements of their positions.

  • Provides general project oversight for contract personnel, as required.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT (25%)
  • Conducts analysis of complex functions and work processes of programs and makes recommendations for improvement in the effectiveness of line programs and efficiency of the management of operating programs and work operations.
  • Advises organizational leadership on methods and procedures, management surveys, management reports, and control techniques.
  • Advises organizational leadership on policies, programs and initiatives regarding integrated primary prevention.
  • Ensures the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated and integrated into prevention efforts.
  • Recommends resource adjustment or changes to policy and procedures to increase program efficiency. Recommends resolution of forecasted or existing funding shortfalls through pursuit of additional funding or redistribution.
  • Provides technical advice and guidance to stakeholders, as well as analysis of complex legislation, policy, and regulatory decisions.
  • Collaborates with installation, command, and civilian leaders to ensure compliance to all applicable federal regulations and Congressional legislation.
  • Encourages the establishment of coalitions with stakeholders, internal and external to the Department of Defense on issues related to the integrated prevention methodologies.
Conditions of Employment
  • Must pass all applicable records and background check.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • This is a non-critical sensitive position requiring access to IT II system and/or PII. Position may require employee to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance. An ANACI is required via the SF86 Security Form.
  • Starting May 7, 2025, non-affiliated individuals requesting access will need a REAL ‑compliant driver's license or another acceptable form of identification to access CNRMA Installations.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a current state driver’s license to facilitate travel to coordinate tasks/actions with personnel and stakeholders within the region.
