Key Responsibilities
- Enhance calibration methodologies to deliver cutting-edge services and set industry benchmarks for turnaround times
- Design and implement productivity tools by harnessing current and emerging technologies
- Partner with auditors and cross-functional teams to maintain a robust quality system aligned with applicable standards and regulations
- Lead teams to meet production goals while cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
- Manage daily laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and conflict resolution. Mentor future leaders and support succession planning
- Collaborate directly with customers to meet calibration needs, integrating feedback into service development and improvement initiatives
- Address nonconforming customer issues with effective corrective actions that drive long-term solutions
- Work closely with Sales to develop tailored service offerings that align with customer needs and business objectives
- Ensure seamless coordination between laboratory and field service operations
- Manage the lab’s P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving financial targets
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to build business cases for equipment investments and market expansion
- Champion lean enterprise principles to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies
- Encourage calculated risk-taking to pioneer industry-leading practices and scale operations through strategic workforce and facility planning
- Ensure full compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical field
- 7+ years experience in a service industry
- 2+ years in a supervisory capacity
- Experience in the calibration field preferred
- US Navy experience a plus
- Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level
