Job Description
Provide technical knowledge in support of the University’s academic environment through research, implementation and configuration of all technology equipment in classrooms and manage media technology projects that include preparing scope of work with customers, designing systems, working with customers to bid/procure items, and facilitating installation. Provides in-house control system programming if required to complete installation.
Responsibility Areas- Research, implement, and configure technology equipment in classrooms.
- Manage media technology projects: prepare scope of work, design systems, bid/procure items, and facilitate installation.
- Provide in-house control system programming to complete installations.
- Exceptional knowledge of technical installation of digital audio‑visual systems.
- Exceptional knowledge in the design, configuration, and support of media systems and technology equipment, including digitally computer‑based audio and video systems and outputs from various sources.
- Working knowledge of interfacing digital media equipment with computer technology.
- Ability to understand customer needs and communicate options for problem resolution.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of desktop operating systems, networking concepts, and office applications.
- Some knowledge of basic programming.
- Working knowledge to troubleshoot complex audio, video, and control systems problems.
- Ability to interact with vendors and the university community.
- Ability to manage time, set priorities, and apply technical judgment independently.
- Effective communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
- Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience- Some experience designing and supporting multi‑media technology systems.
- Considerable experience with systems design and planning.
- Experience with control system design programming.
- Formal training in media/technology related field.
- Some programming experience, preferably C++, Apple Script, and/or Flash.
- Avixa CTS certification.
- Experience with Crestron or AMX control system design programming.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
This is an 8am-5pm Monday‑Friday on‑campus position.

Salary Range$65,000 - $72,814
