Objective. Responsive. Trusted. The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. SPAs NATO Allied Command Transformation Group within JOID provides capability development, portfolio management, program management, quality management, cost estimation analysis, standardization, reporting, software solutions and information management, and capability management support.

We also provide an improved capability requirements capture process, including the generation, documentation and tracing of user requirements, with appropriate technical scrutiny, over the entire lifecycle of the requirements from capability definition through capability realization and capability usage. We have an immediate need for a Security Architecture Analyst to provide onsite support out of NATO Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, Virginia.

Qualifications
  • Required:

    Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of function-related experience OR a Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4+ years of post-related experience.
  • Demonstrable practical experience in programs on security design and/or implementation of CIS/ICT typically involving business change through an architectural approach within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
  • The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) awarded Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) qualification or equivalent recognized qualifications acceptable to NATO, including national military equivalents.
  • Demonstrable security domain knowledge of information technology solutions and change management as part of a wider Digital Transformation endeavour.
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in team environments (both as a contributor and a leader).
  • Proficient as a minimum with Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 or equivalent.
  • Active National and/or NATO Secret (or above) security clearance.
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.
  • Desired:
    Demonstrable Program or Project Management experience (Managing Successful Programs (MSP) or Prince II preferred).
  • Experience working in NATO at the strategic level.
  • NATO CIS experience.
  • Broad knowledge of CIS capabilities and Innovation.
  • Broad experience working with military/public at the strategic level.
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with Visio and MS Project.
Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders including NATO Headquarters bodies such as the Information and Communications Technology Office and NATO Office of Security (NOS) and attend the NATO Security Accreditation Board (NSAB) as required.
  • Support the broader effort to implement NATO's Digital Backbone, ensuring coherence of the CS capability across the large number of capability areas and programs that will constitute the Backbone.
  • Manage security aspects of CIS programs (including projects), typically involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs and acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
