Advanced Red Team Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Watershed Security, a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years’ Cybersecurity and Government Contracting experience, is looking for an Advanced Red Team Operator to assist in the development of cyber test plans, execute cyber tests, and report cyber test results. The operator will conduct cyber tests on operational systems, in laboratory environments, or in cyber range environments. Testing may be against physical, virtualized, or cloud-based systems.

This position shall leverage all authorized resources and analytic techniques to penetrate/access targeted networks and systems under test in support of OPTEVFOR’s cyber OT&E mission. Team members will perform these duties under the supervision of the 01D Cyber Operations Officer, onsite in Norfolk, VA.

Advanced Red Team operator must meet all qualification requirements of an intermediate red team operator in addition to the following:

• Certification Required to start Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) or equivalent
• Demonstrated proficiency with offensive tools:
  Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Core Impact, Burp Suite, Nessus, and Sharp Hound
• Demonstrated Technical and Analytical Skills needed:
  • Detect malicious activity using dynamic analysis techniques
  • Independently conduct penetration testing/red teaming to accomplish assigned objectives
  • Ability to identify and analyze malicious program behavior using dynamic analysis techniques
  • Proven experience to independently plan and execute penetration testing and red team activities to successfully meet assigned test objectives
  • Solid understanding of Windows and Unix/Linux system internals, host-based security products, and how configurations and protections affect exploitation and detection
• Must have at least 6 years’ experience performing any combination of: penetration testing, red teaming, or exploitation development.
• Must have at least 6 years’ with proficiency in leading red team operators in penetration testing/red teaming to accomplish assigned test objectives.
• Must have active DoD TS with SCI Eligibility
• Work is onsite in Norfolk, VA Monday – Friday 8am
  -4.30pm EST
• Possibility of travel up to 10%

• Experience in DOD preferably Navy Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) environments
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communications
