Job DescriptionACTIVE DoD CLEARANCE REQUIRED (MANDATORY)
This role requires an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidates must currently hold an active DoD clearance and be eligible to be read on to the program. A NATO clearance is NOT required.
Compensation: $44–$72 per hour (based on experience and technical qualifications)

We are seeking a highly skilled Dev Sec Ops Engineer to support secure software development, automation, and infrastructure modernization efforts within a mission‑critical environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud‑native infrastructure, and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in compliance‑driven environments.
This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in secure, fast‑paced environments and understand the importance of embedding security throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate automated security scanning and compliance checks into build and deployment workflows
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or similar platforms
- Deploy and manage containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Implement and maintain configuration management solutions (e.g., Ansible or equivalent)
- Support cloud‑based environments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Implement and manage secrets management tools (e.g., Hashi Corp Vault or similar)
- Apply policy‑as‑code frameworks (e.g., Open Policy Agent or similar)
- Perform Linux system administration and automation scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Support vulnerability scanning, STIG implementation, and security hardening activities
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure secure code delivery
- Document processes, configurations, and system architecture in accordance with compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD security clearance (required)
- Demonstrated experience in Dev Ops or Dev Sec Ops engineering
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools)
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and container platforms (Docker)
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Experience integrating security tools into automated pipelines
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Experience operating in compliance‑driven or secure government environments
- Experience with secrets management platforms
- Familiarity with RMF processes and security accreditation environments
- Experience working in enterprise‑scale or mission‑critical infrastructure environments
- Strong documentation and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Hourly rate will be determined based on demonstrated technical depth, years of relevant experience, and overall compliance with the role’s technical requirements.
