Entrust Government Solutions has an immediate career opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our Norfolk team. The successful candidatewill work under minimal direction providing system administration and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) to support emerging requirements and enhance and develop IT capabilities. The successfulcandidatewill provide support in the development, integration, deployment andsustainmentof new systems, software and capabilities to include performing the following activities:
Job Description- Conduct requirements analysis and verification
- Analyze and recommend technical solutions for complex systems and networks
- Install, configure, test and maintain equipment, operating systems and related software
- Monitor and maintain the inventory of assets
- Develop and/or review technical documentation
- Current Security+ certification
- 5+ years hands-on experience installing, configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows client and server operating system
- Proven experience in the integration and testing of hardware (servers, networking devices, clients) and testing of software (Operating Systems, networked applications, databases, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to work both independently and on a team
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management Systems or a related discipline
- Knowledge of maritime IT systems and networks
- MCP or MCSE with Hyper-V experience
- Ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex systems and network environments
- Understanding of network and systems security principles and techniques
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and IP configuration
- Experience with the development of Standard Operating Procedures for network devices, virtual machine hosts, and virtual machine guest deployment (installation, configuration, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Windows XP/7, Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline, Microsoft Outlook 2010/2016, Microsoft Office Suite 2010/2016, Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010/2016, and Microsoft Server 2008R2/2016
