NATO HQ Supreme Allied Command Transformation (NATO SACT) is seeking contract support for the capture, development, architecture, data science and quality assurance of capability requirements and operational analysis necessary to adapt to future threats and explore long‑term military strategy to shape how NATO's forces will operate in the future. To support our NATO customer, SimIS seeks an Enterprise Architect to utilize enterprise architecture tools and processes to design and guide the development of complex, integrated IT systems and infrastructure to meet NATO capability portfolio objectives and support NATO force design and strategic decision making.
Qualifications- BS degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
- Possess a current Enterprise Architecture certification.
- 7 years of experience developing enterprise architecture using industry‑standard frameworks such as Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
- Three (3) years of experience working on enterprise architecture development and maintenance efforts supporting IT infrastructure and capability portfolio rationalization.
- Expertise in EA tools such as Archi, Sparx
EA and business process modeling tools like Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio, Bizagi, and Signavio. - Experience in cross domain analysis to reduce data redundancy, improve data availability, and accessibility, and reuse.
- Lead high‑level analysis, design, integration, and documentation of future‑state architectures, process models, and information flow diagrams.
- Utilize and develop enterprise architecture frameworks, such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), to model and govern the architecture of systems and processes.
- Design and deploy IT systems, applications, and infrastructure (including containerized applications) to meet defense requirements across various networks.
- Implement and manage robust security measures, including identity and access control, credential management systems, and secure cross‑domain solutions.
- Engage with various stakeholders, from technical teams to leadership, to understand requirements, communicate the architecture vision, and gain buy‑in for strategic initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with established architecture standards and regulations, and manage third‑party risks.
