Position SummaryThe Video Teleconferencing & Mobile Device Technician provides user support for VTC communications and mobile devices in support of U.S. Navy on‑site headquarters staff. This role ensures successful communications for thriving naval headquarters.
Essential Skills / Qualifications- Above average experience with Cisco Video Teleconferencing systems
- Above average experience with Active Directory databases
- Above average experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Above average experience supporting Apple iOS and Android iOS
- Experience supporting VTC scheduling
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Ability to collaborate and problem‑solve in a team environment
5 years of experience working with Cisco Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems.
Minimum EducationHigh School diploma.
Physical Requirements- Assignment location: COMNAVSURFLANT (CNSL), Naval Base, Norfolk, VA.
- Sedentary work – may require lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Typing, communicating, repetitive motions.
- Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read.
- Exposure to environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
Must have an active Secret security clearance and maintain a DoD Clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.
DoD clearance procedures include: 10‑year review, OPM Security Investigations Index (SII), DOD Defense Central Investigations Index (DCII), National Agency Check (NAC), FBI name check, FBI fingerprint check, credit report check, local law enforcement checks, education check, employment verification, unemployment corroboration, reference interviews, spouse checks, residence confirmation, public record verification.
Compensation & BenefitsAnnual projected pay range: $53,712 – $73,752, based on qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and location.

- Schedule VTC resources and initiate video conferences.
