Position Summary

The Housekeeping Room Attendant involves high guest contact and presents the first point of contact with our guests. Maintain a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness of the hotel. While keeping all areas free of safety hazards and performing tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel s established standards of cleanliness, and replace required supplies.

Vacuum carpets and clean windows. Ensure carts are clean and stocked with cleaning and room supplies. Complete assignment sheets. Report all maintenance problems to the supervisor. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards for guest rooms as assigned.
  • Vacuum carpets and clean windows; ensure housekeeping carts are clean and stocked with cleaning and room supplies.
  • Complete assignment sheets and report maintenance problems to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Support other hotel departments as needed to deliver guest satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
  • Exert physical effort in lifting/transferring at least 25 pounds; push/pull carts and equipment up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and move for lengthy periods; work in front offices, guest rooms, corridors, and service areas.
  • Work in varying temperatures and environments, including indoors and outdoors; exposure to fumes, dust, chemicals, and odors.
  • Must be able to reach above head and shoulder height to perform duties.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED (or work equivalent).
  • Related

    Work Experience:

    Computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred; previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Communication:
    Good understanding of English (written and verbal). Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Knowledge:
    Proper cleaning techniques, use of equipment, and chemical handling.

  • Salary: $15.00 per hour
