Overview
We are hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant at Sentara Therapy Center Cancer Rehab in Norfolk, Virginia. Cancer/Lymphedema Rehab facility. This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity with great benefits. The work shift will be scheduled with the hours of operation for the facility, which is Mon-Thursday 7:15am to 5:30pm and Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapy Assistant with Sentara, you will administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. You may assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist. Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
Qualifications- Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) education, obtained in a CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program
- Associate s Degree for Physical Therapy Assistant
- Holds a current Physical Therapy Assistant licensure
- Has at least 2 years of experience as a PTA
