Sentara Health is recruiting for Registered Respiratory Therapists to work at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in downtown Norfolk, VA. This is a Full Time
, Day shift position. Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus for full-time qualified candidates and up to $10,000 for part-time qualified candidates. Relocation, moving allowance, and housing allowance may be available to candidates outside the geographic area.
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a 525-bed academic medical center and the region’s only Level I trauma center, featuring Nightingale, the first hospital-based air ambulance in Virginia, and includes Sentara Heart Hospital. The hospital has nine ICUs and offers high-acuity, highly specialized care. Our respiratory therapists work with RT-driven protocols and use advanced ventilator strategies to support patient care, with opportunities for residency training and a supportive, flexible work environment.
ResponsibilitiesAs a respiratory therapist at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, you will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members to provide exceptional patient care using RT-driven protocols. You will gain experience with advanced practices and technologies in a teaching hospital setting and participate in our residency program designed to develop clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills. You will work with a proactive, team-oriented culture that supports self-scheduling to balance home and work life.
Required Qualifications- Education
:
Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non-degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered. - Certification/Licensure
:
State Respiratory license; NBRC RRT; BLS required at time of hire. For new graduates, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date. - Experience

None required; 1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred.
