Our community consists of 300 Independent Living Residential Units, a 33-bed (Medicare/private) Skilled Nursing Healthcare Unit, a 40-bed Assisted Living Unit, and 34-bed Memory Support Unit. - We are seeking highly qualified part- and full-time Housekeepers to join our team to deliver excellent services for our residents and staff. The Housekeepers are responsible for performing assigned cleaning and housekeeping duties within our facility following established quality care and service standards.
- Ensure all Housekeeping protocols and procedures are followed in accordance with established health, infection control, universal precautions, sanitation, industry standards, and facilities’ appearance policies and regulations.
- Clean and provide sanitation to all private residences, healthcare units, and common areas to include dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, etc., in accordance with established health, hygiene, and appearance policies and regulations with priority established by management.
- Utilize good stewardship with inventory, supplies, and equipment. Report any shortages to management.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- At least two (2) years of prior experience in housekeeping, prior housekeeping experience in a Long-term care setting preferred, with a strong focus on safety and productivity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication, serving as role model for service excellence. Able to work effectively as a team member and independently.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, high self-initiative, and ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions in a timely manner.
- Skilled at working with the elderly population in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion. Perform duties with consideration for residents' rights, demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of residents and their health information.
- Knowledgeable with safe and appropriate use of cleaning supplies and appropriate equipment utilization.
- Knowledgeable with applicable computer software programs, able to operate computer and other office equipment.
- May require working beyond normal scheduled hours, on weekends, and in other positions as needed.
