The location of the Director Clinical Services position is Norfolk, Virginia.
Position SummaryThe Director of Clinical Services provides direct supervision to all Clinical Services staff, oversees the development and implementation of the clinical programs across the continuum of care, develops and revises program descriptions, patient/parent handbooks and oversees the clinical services provided in foster care. Reviews policies and procedures and makes recommendations to senior leadership for change. As a member of the management team, the Director assists in the achievement of organizational objectives regarding patient care, attainment of operational and financial goals and participates in the promotion of services within the community.
ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervise all Clinical Services staff.
Oversee the development and implementation of clinical programs across the continuum of care.
Develop and revise program descriptions, patient/parent handbooks.
Oversee clinical services provided in foster care.
Review policies and procedures and make recommendations to senior leadership for change.
Assist in the achievement of organizational objectives regarding patient care, operational and financial goals, and community service promotion.
Minimum Qualifications- Education:
Master’s degree in mental health field required. - Experience:
Five (5) years clinical and supervisory experience with child and adolescent populations in a residential care setting required. - License/Certification:
Current licensure in the state of Virginia required. - Skills:
Excellent communication skills, ability to maintain effective working relationships inter‑departmentally and with clinical staff. Demonstrates the ability to organize, delegate and role‑model manage the Clinical Services Team. Must be eligible to provide clinical supervisor toward license. Must have ability to communicate in both oral and written forms and in a clean and concise manner. - Physical Requirements:
Work is mentally demanding. Moderate walking, standing, and sitting. Must be able to safely engage in physical interventions.
